what is your opinion of uneducated people?

why am i even asking this in an elitist-like college forum?

Define uneducated.

Do you mean those who haven’t attended a college/university?

If so, I know plenty of people that did not attend an institution of “higher learning” that I consider more intelligent and educated than some college/university graduates.

Moreover, some intellectual traditions, movements, etc. consider the thoughts and feelings of the “common man” to be more refined and better than those immersed in “high culture” and liberal learning.

“elitist-like college forum”

It’s not really…

Would you define uneducated as those that can’t spell “people” right?

What’s this all about?

I’m not a big fan of peole in general.

People who have access to education and have the ability to reach further states of education without causing a major disruption in their life, but choose not to, **** me off.

I don’t really care about a person’s educational background, I know people who go to Harvard, and people with only a high school diploma. As long as you’re chill, fun to hang with I’m cool with you. If I’m looking for a friend I don’t care, but if I’m looking for a bf I do, I wouldn’t date anyone who didn’t plan on finishing college, unless they were already set. My dad he got me a job at the Chicago Board of Trade but I’m not really interested in that field of work, some people have connections.

Nick it’s a personal choice, some people come from money and have no need to pursue further education. Why do we go to school? to get a degree so we can get a job so we can make money.

Did anybody happen to catch the point of this thread?

I thought he added an extra “e” and was asking about uneducated poles. Personally, that’s just a ridiculous to ask.

I’m not going to lie, I think less of them

^ think less of who? uneducated people or uneducated peoles?

Uneducated peoles, of course. Those damn peoles; they’re destroying the world.

im talking about people without a bachelor’s degree.

If that’s your definition of uneducated you’ve got a long way to go.

Anyway, people who haven’t gone to college are like people that did go to college, except they spent four years working while you spent four years at college. Yeah, that’s about it. There are some people that didn’t go to college that are absolute idiots and there are some that are very smart and successful. The same is true for people who did go to college.

They’re destroying the world by not wanting to be debt, because they cant’ afford it, maybe the have to get a job to support their families after high school, maybe they have kids, etc. etc. Lets not think less of people for not having a bachelors degrees because you don’t know their circumstances.

And a lot of jobs don’t need college education. Maybe tech school but some don’t even need that. The guy that fixes your car or plumbing is more important to most peoples everyday lives than the majority of people on here will ever be. Just because they didn’t get a useless (to them) degree by wasting a lot of money doesn’t say anything bad about them.

Also, a lot of people weren’t handed opportunities on a silver platter. They didn’t have parents who could help them with homework, they didn’t attend good schools, they lived in an area with a lot of drug or gang problems, or they’re from small towns where no one is EXPECTED to go to college like a lot of people on this site were.

Add proton to the list of bitter CC members. Just look at his previous posts and threads.

most people i know who didn’t want to go to college said they didn’t know what they wanted to do with their lives and probably felt it would be a waste of money to go just because they were expected to. i don’t blame them b/c i’ve also met people who’s been in college for years and still not know what they want to do. school isn’t really for everyone…
