Unfortunate yet hilarious essay mistake

In my “Why Duke” essay, I accidentally used the work ‘astrological’ rather than ‘astrophysical’. I just caught it two weeks after I submitted.

Would it be better to send an email about this so the admissions officers don’t thinks I’m into horoscopes or should i just leave it and hope they realize what I was going for?

I would send an email. I don’t think they will guess what you meant to write.

Ok guess I will. I used it in a series like ‘astrological, mathematical, and cosmological’ so I just missed it every time I proofread

leave it alone…dont point it out, as it still makes sense in context.

Ok, thanks for the response. After reading this thread

I think it is best to just leave it.

Good. It still makes sense. Maybe it will even make you more interesting to be all astologically aware:)

It is refreshing to see a student who can find this hilarious, most of your peers would be freaking out. I hope you get in.

Thanks, me too

an oldie but goodie …. just to reassure you
