I’d like to found a club with my friend at school… do you have any ideas on unique clubs that could make a difference?

in what area?

academics, special interest, sports, etc?

Do you have Leo Club at your school? It’s like Key Club, except it works with the Lions Club.

My friend founded the Ultimate Frisbee Club at our school and wrote some awesome (and really funny) college essays about the merits of Frisbee…start something you’re passionate about that’s fun and light.

Well, in our school we have the Philosophy Club, Jpop/rock Club, Classics Book Club, Bridge to Medicine Club, and Animation Club. Not so unique but interests put in play.

I started a Hispanic culture club this past year. It mainly links Spanish students with the Hispanic population. Pretty successful.

We also have a 4 Square Club, Gamers Club (card games, chess, Risk), Philosophy Club, Anime Club, Book Circle, Film Society (making and watching), Foreign Language International Club aka FLIC, DDR Club, and a PC Club which on the surface looks really hardcore in computers but really does a few community service drives a year and spends the rest of the time playing Starcraft on LAN through the school computers.

wow that’s so cool. I wish our school had an official Anime Club (in Animation, we sneak days of watching anime in), … I like the Film Society Gamers Club, PC club, and DDR club!!!

btw, what would you do in 4 Square Club and FLIC? I’m curious. I think this thread is helpful for me too.

BBQ Club at my school is probably the best club on campus. Basically, one Friday a month, we get out of class before lunch to get grills and meat and buns (bought beforehand, of course), and set up for lunch. Lunch starts, we start playing music, grilling, and selling meat. It’s fun times.

archery club. I always wanted to join one, but our school does not have the area for one.

my friends and I started what we call the Global Awareness Club. We every week we get together and discuss current events and how they are impacting the world. Sometime we write letters to various people expressing our opinions.

there’s an AP Calculus BC club at my school…lol

Crap Club.
