Guys, International student from India here. I still haven’t got any decision via email or on my portal. But my unofficial transcript is also not opening. Does that mean that I am rejected? I’m very confused. UDub is one of my dream schools. It would be really nice if any of you could help me out.
Check the " UW Seattle Campus Applications" link. Read the entire thing, if it says something along " thank you for applying , please wait till blah blah blah letter takes time blah blah blah" then you have to wait and it doesn’t mean you are rejected.
Daughter accepted, direct admit civil engineering. 2350 SAT (800M/800V/750W), 4.0uw, 6 completed APs, 3 DE, 3 APs in progress. Several sports, lots of community service, some leadership. Public charter school for homeschoolers.

if people at my school got their portal update and I didn’t, is all hope for me lost?
Seems to me the only group that hasn’t been addressed through the portal updates is the wait listed people, but from last year’s strands, some kids heard on March 25th and later that they were accepted, so since UW refuses to be up front about what they are doing, we are stuck in waiting mode and assuming the worst. I feel like I did as a kid knowing I had a doctor’s appointment for getting a shot and wishing my mom hadn’t told me until it was happening. The waiting is torture. And then if wait listed, having to wait even longer. Hope at least they give us a number on the list if we ARE waitlisted.
Many of my friends at school have received acceptance letters but their portals did not change to a congratulations message
We should also keep in mind that the UW will give out more acceptances than rejections… So hopefully tomorrow they will update a batch of acceptances… And hopefully we are in tomorrow’s batch
@mulan2020 it’s pretty close to 50% though, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was less and appeals brought it up.

Appeals only go through about one in every twenty. Unless every single rejected student went for an appeal and 1/20th of them went through, the acceptance rate wouldn’t go up much.
I guess that’s a bright way to think about it. 55% accepted vs 45% rejected.
