Anyone know the acceptance rate for this year? Seems more competitive than previous years…
@FindingCMO idk about the acceptance rate but I totally feel you on it seeming more competitive, ESPECIALLY with the fact they got more applications this year than ever. Yikes.
I don’t think the acceptance rate has very noticeably gone down. There’s just a ton of applications this year.
Does anyone know if we get a email saying we wernt chosen to be accepted off the waitlist ? Like you were already put on waitlist, and they still didnt have room to accept you, do you get a email saying that ?
Hi All. I’ve been following this thread for a while now. Waitlisted on 3/31. Appealed 4/14, based on the fact there was an error on my transcript, (affecting GPA by .11) and addition to updates on my extra circulars. Heard back in the Regular Postal mail 4/29 that appeal was declined, but I was put back on the waitlist. Hmmmm, looking grim. GPA unweighted 3.6, SATs 1650.
Hi guys, I have a quick question. I applied to UW Tacoma. My un-official transcripts loaded today. I saw student ID and some other info too. I dont know what does that mean. Thanks
Following up my post #1494 and the posts of several others on the subject, the Seattle Times just published some admissions data for the entering class of 2020:
“This year, about 62.7 percent of Washington students who applied to be admitted as freshmen got an acceptance letter — down from 65.6 percent in 2015. About 39 percent of out-of-state and international students were admitted, down from 48 percent in 2015.”

If the instate admission rate was 62.7% (est. 7,323/11,680) and the OOS and international admission rate was 39% (est. 12,345/31,654), the overall admission rate was about 45% this year (est. 19,668/43,334), down from 53% in 2015 and 55% in 2014.
