Wow I have no clue how I got in. I’m OOS and I got directly admitted into the biochem major.
Stats:
SAT: 2180
ACT: 33
SAT Bio: 780
SAT Math 1: 720
GPA Unweighted: 3.4
I’ve played a few variety sports with a few district titles. Other than that, I don’t have many other extracurriculars, except I teach Chinese, Math, and Tennis on the weekends.
well I’m not gonna give up on UW so easy hahahah, I appealed for UW and waiting for the decision. If not I will stay at my CC and apply as a transfer student with 75 college credits and if you have more than 40 credits then they don’t ask for your SAT scores so I’m good. Hey, Western and UCI are still options too. Thanks for asking guys @deljo @cleopatra7th my story was kinda depressing hahhaa
Admitted to UW and UCLA. Which one do you guys think I should pick in terms of future employment?
@Lovemor, are you considering a business degree from Foster? I do not think UCLA has an undergraduate business school. In general, do well at either school, and your future employment prospects will be great. You may wish to take into consideration where you would like to live after college, what industries you are interested in and whether one is less expensive to attend.
@sarahjaywilkins What were your grades, scores and extracurricular activities ?
@Thedarklord97 (OOS from South Carolina) Had a 3.87 unweighted GPA (but I’ve made all A’s for the past two semesters so I believe that increased my chances as well, since that was what I was required to list to accept a spot on the waitlist) 26 ACT score, full IB student with volunteer work, oboist, ROTC
Has anybody appealed? I appealed and am waiting to hear back and I was waitlisted. I am in state 3.79 GPA 1650 SAT with tons of extracurriculars and great essays. Anybody else in the same boat?
Also I submitted my appeal 2 weeks ago. Has anybody already gotten accepted off the waitlist yet?
I don’t think we get off the waitlist till may 1st and 15 at latest . Thats when others have to notify UW if they will be attending or not.
@Thedarklord97 I saw from earlier posts on this thread that people got an email offering them a spot… That’s what I thought too 
@coffeedrinker12 I was originally waitlisted and got offered a spot on April 7, and when I asked them originally they told me I would not be hearing back until after May 1… Keep your head up!

From what I remember of last year, some people were getting notified well after May 1 about waitlist decisions.

Does anyone know where they can find their school email? I don’t recall every getting it through my admissions email. (i.e. user@u.washington.edu)
@savdizon Did you recieve a email saying you were accepted, or did you recieve a hard copy letter ?
I was waitlisted and sent in my letter of appeal about two weeks ago. I was informed just a couple of days ago that I got accepted! Hopes this helps anyone waiting to hear back!
I was waitlisted and then accepted off the waitlist on April 7th too. I called to make sure it was for real and it totally was. Now I have to send in my deposit and choose my housing. I am also applying for work study and will probably work as a peer tutor 2-3 hours every weekday. Do you guys know anything about dorms? Which ones are you applying for?
