I got ~ 16k in gift aid, and the rest is work study and loans. Full need met! I have extenuating circumstances though. Also curious about husky promise, it doesn’t say anything about it in my letter. If someone gets it please let us know!! Good luck to everyone!

Son received “aid” award a few days ago, loans for less than 1/2 of full fare OOS costs.
Has anyone else still not heard back from UW?? I’m in state and just about everyone in my high school has heard back… so confused
@dwilfand I haven’t either. The last letters will be sent out Thursday so you should know by Saturday. I’m OOS so I might not get mine until next week.
We saw the acceptance on the portal almost 2 weeks ago but just received the mailed package yesterday.
OOS from Missouri and only received the Purple and Gold scholarship for 5500 a year. I would need a lot more to be able to attend UW.
My parents are divorced and my mom does not receive child support from my dad. He has cancer which is preventing him from working. My mom does not make enough in a year to cover even a year’s tuition (after the scholarship) at UW.
That being said, anyone know about asking for more financial aid? If I send an appeal, would they be able to offer me any more FA? I know UW is stingy as it is, but this is my top choice. If I express that in an email or letter and explain my situation further, do you think I would be awarded more aid? Any help or advice is appreciated.
How do u know if you got the purple and gold scholarship?

@brookiecookie215 You can see the scholarship on the financial aid status link on the portal and it’s included in the acceptance letter.
D got her letter today from UW about being a “Purple & Gold Scholar” and we live in England…$5500.00 a year/$22,000.00/4years… Not great but more than UIUC and Purdue gave which was $000!!!
Ok I thought I got it but it says it is a loan
Also does honors only come with the acceptance letter package or is it a completely different envelope?

Got an email saying I was accepted off the waitlist??? 
I thought they didn’t accept until May 15 so I’m wondering if it’s some kind of hoax or a cruel trick…
