i know that at berkeley they kick you out after you take a certain amount of credits (usually amounting to 4.5 years of work i think?) unless you try to double major, and then you get another year. my understanding of it is pretty shady but it’s somewhere along those lines.

the scary thing is that if you’ve reached that unit maximum but haven’t completed your major requirements (you were taking a lot of electives, or you decided to change majors too late) then they kick you out without a degree!

just received my acceptance…3.4 UCI bio transfer…

question though…under the Provisions for Admission…if my gpa dropped a little because of the last quarter, would they revoke my admissions? under what circumstances would they actually revoke my admissions? thanks

In regards to revoking, i think you will be safe as long as you don’t get anything below a C (and not too many), but thats off the top of my head.

vvoc - I think they only revoke if you get a D or an F in an important class. Or 3 or more C’s.
I dunno, I’ll find out soon though, because I have a D in one of my classes but HOPEFULLY it doesnt affect me.

what if you the classes you said you were going to take in spring are different now? i got a 2.6 last quarter, im just worried that is low and may cause them to revoke…

Also i thought I had pretty solid essays. One about my passion for the stock market, another about a business i started and how it relates to economics and the other about how i flipped my life around from being a class clown in high school to taking CC classes at night while in high school.

The only possible reason for rejection might be because i got Bs in calc 1 and 2

aww sorry to hear about that heavymetalgod. I hope berkeley works out for you.

Btw, who here is still pending? grr…I just wish ucla would release the decision asap whether i’m rejected or accepted so that I can move on with my life. Congrats to all those who have been accepted to ucla.
