<p>verdet - yeah i’m really disappointed. i thought i had a fair chance, but i guess it wasn’t good enough. nope i didn’t apply to cal, i only applied to sjsu, calpoly and uci. not sure which i am going to choose now…</p>
<p>The problem I am having writing an appeals letter for cal (although I started it) is the “compelling new information” part…</p>
<p>Yeah I know, I added an extra engineering class they didn’t know about among some other positions I was elected to this quarter. That will serve as the basis. If you can, talk about grade trends, or things they might not have considered like the work effect on your studies etc. Even though it might be somewhat shallow, let the letters of rec and your grades do most of the talking when they review your file again. </p>

<p>Also call up a counselor at Berk and ask them if they willl review it with you. They have fantastic insight. They are on kittrigdge and telegraph if you just want to show up :)</p>

<p>Couldn’t sleep very well last night(thinking about UCLA). After that, I said frack it and drank two shots of espresso and studied the whole night.</p>

I am so tempted to turn in my SIR right now(I am going to have a discussion this weekend with several family members and friends about what school I should really go to).</p>

<p>1) When I am about to travel to another country.
2) When I get something I’ve anticipated for a very long time.</p>
<p>my theory still stands. Because everyone that could see the finaid thing got in. And those who didnt see it, are getting in (LATER), or are already rejected.</p>

<p>So i have a few questions:
(1)If you get into UCLA, does that mean that you will get into CAL?
(2)If you don’t get into UCLA, does that mean you will not get into CAL?</p>
<p>The reason being, i got into UCLA but really want to go to CAL. Or am i just waisting my time thinking about this sort of thing. (However, given the obsessiveness of this site, it’s fair to say others are wondering the same thing)</p>
