University of California Transfer Students Fall 2007 OFFICIAL THREAD!!!

Being in Northern California and across the bay from San Francisco is good enough for me really. I’ve been to SF and LA and SF is a million times better than LA, that’s for sure.

peep2:

I don’t know what I can say to them? My major is chemistry, GPA 3.7 and all my physics left out. If I do contact them, what should I tell them? You said, there was a mistake in your apps? What kind of mistake?

hgraehl:

Thanks for trying to make me feel better. I’m realy stressed out! If I get rejected, I don’t know what I can say in my appeal letter! I have nothing new or a mistakes that I can correct! I don’t know what they want from me…Just accept me damit.

Do you know anything about UCSD? I gotta prepare for an alternative plan.

Unknown, you’ll get in…I feel it.

UCSB Bus Econ Majors…

Did anyone apply for the with accounting emphasis?

If so, does it show up as you accepted major, or does it just say Bus Econ?

lax attack, my friend told me that transfers who pledge get priority to move in as soon as they become brothers. this could just be his frat though (SAE), or maybe he had some wrong info.

politrix while SF is better than LA,
Westwood is better than Berkeley.

then again, to each his own :)

unkown, i know how you feel. I’m still pending… I wish you the best of luck.

unknown:

Ya general chemistry isn’t impacted either… I think you should get in. Believe me, I have their admissions webpage memorized with the coutless hours I’ve read it over and over and over again. I had a stronger gpa than you (3.84) but I had less prereq done that you… i only have 1 semester o-chem and no physics and I got in. I am biochem which is impacted and i got in without these prereq. My gut feeling is you’ll get in since you have higher than average admit gpa when comparing to 2006 and have most prereq done. It is just really strange that you haven’t gotten an answer. You’ve checked online?

I wouldn’t get too happy because I said I think you’ll get in. Its up to the admissions office… to cope with the unknown I braced myself to expect not getting accepted. Otherwise I would have been crushed to a pulp with a rejection letter if I expected to get in… do what you can to cope. I know the feeling…it is beyond misery. And lemme know what happens.

Added you as well heather…coast hit me up w/ ur facebook name on pm

Ah, okay bobbak, that’s good to hear cuz I plan on rushing to :)

i know this is a crazy idea…but why dont you future bruins chat with each other to be possible roommates in apartments in marvista, palms, etc.

i mean, you kinda know the person, and at the same time, you dont wanna be a burden to your friends who have been there since freshman year who already have their own cliques.

Lets have transfer idol!

vote now! The top remaining contestants are: UCLA and UC Berkeley.

I’m going to Sanjia then!

Sanjaya = UCSD?

Is Sanjaya socially dead?

“Sanjaya who?”

Yep, I guess so.

unknown, when you call, ask them if they can tell you why you might’ve been denied.

oh, personally, i took precalc at a private school but the course description doesn’t explicitly say “prereq: int algebra” so there’s some question of whether or not it transfers. however… it’s precalc. isn’t it implied that there is a prereq? interestingly enough, i called berkeley and they said they wouldn’t have this kind of problem with it. but ucla and i are still in talks so my decision is still up in the air. i guess i’ll work it out this week.

heyhey!!~
i just created a group in facebook!!
it’s called “College Confidential Kids who got into UCLA!!!”
COME AND JOIN!!! and help me to promote please

this thread is slowing down… but my feeling is that it will pick up 2 days before CAL decision after then thread is dead…
maybe appeal thread will be more active :)
