maybe you will be disappointed. There is nothing special in UCB. I am serious.

lilsunflower is very truthfull. Once you get over the Telegraph thing, there is really nothing that spectacular. Have you been to UCLA yet?

what are the advantages for Berkeley than UCLA. my family will be much more happy, which means more money for me, if I go to UCLA>

i was at UCLA yesterday, and the day before yesterday. it’s a really good campus. just too much traffic. it took an hour to get from the exit off the freeway, and to the campus.

Nor Cal has serious traffic also, but I live in LA and agree.

Traffic is really bad…live on campus!

i agree, living on campus is an excellent idea for UCLA. there is so much stores, restaurants, markets, and other stuff within walking distance. the walking will be a perfect exercise for our bodies.

LOL Nor Cal traffic is NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING like So Cal traffic.

And I disagree… there maybe nothing around Berkeley, but San Francisco is like 15 minutes away. There’s always something to do there, of course.

Yeah you may be right, our traffic is really bad… Especially when we get these car chase problems… Todays closed down soo many intersections…

If you want to talk about surrounding areas, I would disagree with you on that one… So Cal:

Santa Monica
Hollywood
LA
Newport Beach
Hermosa Beach

As far as stuff to do, I think So cal wins hands down. ALthough, I like the characther of San Franscisco ALLOT more than LA. LA is much more spread out and we have a REALLY BAD public transportation system

so cal traffic is the worst in the entire United States. the best time to visit UCLA is at 11PM and not on friday or saturday. i did that on tuesday night when I found out I got in.

If you’re going to do something like English or History, just go with UCLA.

However, if you’re planning on doing something like engineering, Berkeley is known for that.

i was at UC Irvine today for a film, and it took 20 minutes to drive one block. that’s why santa barbara is so appealing to me.

i dunno about you guys but if i go to LA im not taking a car…everything you need is in walking distance.

Hahahaha, Newport Beach. There’s nothing really there except the wedge. I live in the next town over. I can’t imagine anyone driving 40 miles from LA to go to Newport Beach for any reason.

how about economics? is Berkley or LA better?

Yeah Bobbak and there is no place to park

Traffic at UC Irvine? That is weird because that is way out in suberbia land. Side streets should had had no traffic, 5 freeway different story… Let me tell you, that is not normal from my experience.

San Francisco and San Jose have wayyy more things to do than

Santa Monica
Hollywood
LA
Newport Beach
Hermosa Beach

I mean, how many times can you take that hollywood tour?

I grew up in Newport Beach, but your right, that was a bad example for someone from out of town.

I guess it really depends on what you are into… If you are a club person Hollywood is tops… If you are a culture and muesuem person, well that one goes to LA…
I guess it just depends on the person and where you know. Everytime I go to San Fran, the only thing I know is the pier 39 thing or whatever. Just like you only know the Bus Tour (I have actually never been on that)

But as far as nightlife (if you are into that) LA is really where its at… I outgrew that awhile ago… Which Is exactly why I want to go up north because there are new experiences for me up there.

I LOVE hermosa!!

I concur, Irvine has crazy traffic.
