University of Colorado Boulder Early Action for Fall 2024 Admissions

UMMMM does everyone have this verbiage on the Current Term box

Your Current Term

Fall 2024

In order to submit a request to change your term, you must confirm your intent to enroll. If you have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from confirming before deferring your admission, you may be eligible for an exception. Please contact your admission counselor to discuss your options.

It’s been mentioned that “deferral” is a reference to changing your starting semester, not the traditional “bump” to regular decision dates.

That said, I actually would see that as a good sign (we do not have that).

well we will see if it goes away like this constantly morphing portal likes to do!

No. No change term button anymore either

Just checked, OOS application and we have scholarship, timeline, and change starting semester.

I have the initial term box but not the text in it. Nothing about defferals

This is some high quality portal astrology! At least three iterations (scholarship/no scholarship, timeline/no timeline, start date deferral/no start date deferral). These are some fun and creative people in the CU admissions office really applying themselves for elite honors in the mental manipulation olympics!

Sko Buffs.

To echo the previous, I have all of that except for the “your current term.”

should I be worried that I don’t have the blurb in the ‘your current term’ box? CU is a pro at stressing me out

I don’t have the box at all.

Common theme: let’s not freak out with any of this and most of it is likely meaningless.

Even if it’s not, we won’t know until we know what was relevant.

48 more hours of mental gymnastics (hopefully).

what does update status on national merit mean? i can click on that and select one of a few boxes.

It means that if you woke up this morning and suddenly remembered that your were, in fact, a National Merit Finalist, you can update them to that news =)

thats funny that you can self report that! why would they need that?

Self report, which at this point would be when finalists are named from semifinalists.

That verbiage is new in S24’s portal today. Before it just said Your Current Term: Fall 2024.
Timeline also disappeared for a day, and is now back.
NMS has now appeared for the first time. The scholarship button with link is still there (and never disappeared.
I hope we will figure out what it all meant to move the ball forward a bit for next year’s applicants.

My son’s screen looks like yours and the timeline has returned. It was gone earlier today.

The intent to enroll language means acceptance, no?
