We are in an unusual position in that we currently live in CT but are moving to SC….both currently v difficult to get into as in state for CT and out of state (for now anyway) for SC. Ugh.
That really stinks
Given UConn’s budget issues I am going with $$.
Yeah I was waitlisted UMass in state. I get engineering is competitive but ive gotten into like 10 other schools, some of which are on paper a lot harder to get into than UMass. Makes me confused
Super frustrating…we just applied to U of Tampa but my dtr will likely end up at Coastal Carolina as she got in there and got some merit…will be in state next year. I hope your son has an option he’s happy (OK) with.
My daughter’s friend got deferred by Umass (instate) but admitted to a top 10 school.
Lots of CT kids at CC. I see the car stickers all over the place. Heard great things
Have you visited CC yet? What a campus! That place is awesome.
I think it’s a good match for my dtr, all things considered…thank you
Yes…our place in Charleston is only about 1.5 hours away which is great…we loved Coastal all in all
So we can get into both Storrs and Stamford housing, but that link that has the data pull says Stamford. So, NO CLUE what that means compared to what you are seeing.
That’s a good sign, but if you scroll down you should see on the right “admitted student, undergraduate” or something along the lines of that
Yes that’s it. We think that’s the best sign you can have
Any CURRENT ECE students where it shows on the login.uconn.edu/cas/login link a campus of Storrs, but in theuconnPersonAffiliation
it shows Admitted Non Degree ECE Student instead of Active None Degree ECE Student?`
For my kid it says Active but she is currently taking an ECE class, so not sure if it would change her status if that is her current status. Just curious if its different for other ECE kids. Her housing show both Storrs and Stamford but she only applied for Storrs. Both logins for the housing gain access as do all the other links previously mentioned. Thanks in advance.
My son is ECE too, it says Active non degree ECE student, undergraduate. Then says Storrs in the other spot and he only applied to Storrs
For peeps wondering about that Sanditz Travel in the data pull… I found this: https://accountspayable.uconn.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/1161/2017/04/Sanditz-FAQ.pdf
Am I guaranteed a denial if I only see “Undergraduate Applicant” and not “Admitted Undergraduate Applicant” when I click on the cas link? I only applied to Storrs so I see that listed above and then for the housing page Stamford is unauthorized and for Storrs it has the 3-5 business day message. I thought that was a good sign? Maybe the message on the CAS link will change, but I just hope I wasn’t rejected
Check the link I shared above that translates some of the things in the CAS. It says the thing you have just means a decision hasn’t been rendered, so from my understanding its not a bad sign yet
