my understanding, raiseme is a microscholarships. and they included it as the biggest portion of our Merit awards topping it to their proposed option (presidential oos ours, 12K). 7k plus 5k roughly.
What exactly is raiseme? I’ve never heard of it and it is beneficial? Thank you!
its an app/ scholarships. probably The only one that gave us monetary points. lots of colleges participating there have a due date to collect points per year by applying till certain date. its ur own grades/ extracurricular/volunteer. recommended by a councelor. real. though, if the college awards u a merit, it looks like u r getting it w/o raiseme:) i compared the others stats. works probably the best for colleges u r not getting merits but adds-on- microscholarships from raiseme. fast to fill out. same as commonapp aplication w/o an essay.
I was told $12k is among the highest awarded this year. I’ve seen some $14-15k awards here but haven’t seen $17k. I asked about the $17k. I wonder if they are holding more $$ back for later due to lo of uncertainty with Fafsa. I was told they (Admissions) were told by FA to not do any adjustments.
It could’ve changed, I have one at Clemson, $10,000 a year, $12,500 was the highest her year, over $20,000 a couple years earlier. Having 5 go through the process, it’s seems like merit is decreasing at a lot of schools.
Going to have to do good old fashioned cost cutting. We have a lot of fat we can trim. It’s like a mom/dad scholarship!
We are OOS
