University of Delaware Class of 2022

@BriannaB0525 Are you and your friend In State or OOS. My daughter was accepted in Early December for her 2nd choice (Bio) instead of Nursing. We asked them to reevaluate and the said No to Nursing and they told us Nursing is full. I have found the entire process very off putting by U of D. There is a young man that is graduating with my daughter that was accepted into Nursing and his Stats are not quite as high as my daughters, but he does have more extracurricular…but he is a male.

@MrsSouthJersey18 Wait are they done accepting students into nursing or are accepted students no longer able to commit for nursing?

nuch89 your daughter has so many other great schools that are better . I am sure she will make the right decision. I will try to stay positive.

@MrsSouthJersey18 We are both OOS. This whole process has been extremely frustrating especially for nursing majors, I’m sorry to hear she didn’t get in for nursing.

I received the same letter yesterday and my major disappeared late last night or this morning. Now the waiting game!

My daughter received the same email yesterday and her major also disappeared late last night.

My son’s major finally disappeared overnight despite receiving the form letter yesterday.

214210P, RosieLady1234 and nsl123 - what majors did you all apply for? I am trying to see if any Communications majors have heard. Thanks in advance!

Have any engineering majors heard since the email sent yesterday? Thanks in advance

Any business majors hear since email from yesterday?

@engbio219 I contacted the admissions department this morning as my son is also waiting for an engineering decision. He did not receive an email yesterday, but I was told a decision will by made in early April.

Another day in the waiting Zone! I’m not expecting to hear from them so why get all upset? I’m trying to enjoy my Friday. My other options keep me smiling.

It’s a great school so I’m waiting before I send in room deposits elsewhere.

I just hung up with admissions department. I was told there is no set date for April notifications. “Mid April.” I asked why admissions seem to be so late & she said it was due to so many more applicants.

cindersadie My daughter applied for Criminal Justice. It’s not a restricted major. Nor have I seen a lot of others in this forum trying to get in.

@NursingMan I was told they were done accepting for the Program.

My son applied as Undeclared, we got this email yesterday - We know you were expecting an update on your application status. The Admissions Committee is in the process of finalizing your decision and we hope to provide a response in early April. We did originally get the one that said we should hear by 3/15.

@MrsSouthJersey18 It’s not always about grades and scores, there’s more that admissions considers. My daughter was just accepted to Northeastern and some others with higher stats than hers were denied. It’s hard to know exactly what admissions is looking for. Nursing is a very competitive major. My daughter is also going for nursing and everyone told us to apply very early. She applied to UD back in September and received a decision in November. Those who applied later might have a harder time because of limited spots. It might get even more competitive as time passes because of limited spots in the program.

@cindersadie I applied for computer science.

@Yankeegal28 you mentioned housing deposits. Does housing get priority based on enrollment deposit date?
