Because most schools have chosen to be rather opaque, admissions is unpredictable. When I was applying - last century - I looked at my SAT scores and which schools I was in range and applied there. With TO and their impact not only to admissions but to the true SAT range for admits, and GPAs that vary widely b/w high schools and states, who knows where a kid will get in. Plus it changes from year to year. It’s dangerous to apply to too few schools in this environment IMHO.

Has anyone heard anything on UDEL Nursing admissions yet? Decisions are supposed to be posted “by 2/15” per portal, but hopefully earlier. I saw on another nursing chat that someone posted their daughter was deferred, but we are still waiting and didn’t think any of those decisions were released yet. Hopefully was a typo or maybe they didn’t really apply to nursing. Just wanted to see if anyone else has received nursing decisions at this point. Crickets here for us and remain hopeful:)

My D24 applied to nursing mid Dec., not a word here. That person never responded after that, I agree prob not nursing.

For those waiting on Honors, D sent a quick update with some “news” (elected captain, won an award) and her AO was really receptive and said he would make sure the Honors committee sees it. May be worth it if you have news and want to reinforce your interest.

My son sent something to his AO… and zero response.
If it makes you feel any better, we have found the East Coast schools are almost all super responsive to her emails. My hunch - Not as many west coasters so they aren’t as busy. Not a lot of Oregon kids in the pool.
Good point! I’m sure the number of applications for our region are off the charts for UD.

Sigh. No word on merit or honors, was hoping today was the day. (Accepted 11-3, waiting to decide if she will visit or not). Anyone hear?

not here either (4 weeks since acceptance).
they announced the Financial Aid session for 1/29 and have their first decision day 2/24. hoping merit and HC come out before then.

Honors acceptance is by early April, not sure why you would expect before according to How to Apply to the Honors College | Honors College and merit can be calculated here although date is not indicated Financing Your Degree | University of Delaware. History has indicated that they honor this amount.
