This is the week my daughter applied (undecided), but we have not heard anything yet. I know they go through January, but this waiting is rough, lol!

OOS, EA, applied early Oct, CompSci/Honorsā¦still no wordā¦already admitted to Pitt and PSU main campusā¦

D is in state, and applied early action for Comp Sci but is still waiting. Other kids from her same HS with lower class rank have already received acceptance to Honors College.

same with my kidā¦others in her school have been admitted (no honors though). silence is strange given what i am reading here.
Can you get into honors with TO or have to submit scores?
OOS acceptance, applied mid-Oct, TO 3.8W Mech Engineering. The waiting was hard and hope all hear good news soon!

Hi everyone- just wanted to share that my DD was notified that she was accepted into the honors college yesterday. She applied back in September (towards end), was notified of acceptance on 11/8/24.
Sheās OOS, animal science, 3.95 (6 APs, rest mostly honors), 32 ACT, tons of animal-related volunteering and research, but no leadership (so was surprised at honors).
Does anyone know when merit is typically released?

They say January is what I am hearing.
Nothing here, IMO rolling admissions is worse than just waiting, the anxiety from not hearing when others are is worse than just waiting on X date. Sigh.
The lack of transparency in this process drives it.

My daughter also received her honors admission yesterday and Iām hoping that helps with merit too! I donāt think they get anything for being in honors but Iām hoping it helps boost the merit as an out of stater.

For those of you who received acceptances. Did all of your portals change from āunder reviewā to something else prior to admission? Just curious if itās possible to go from āunder reviewā to accepted without other changes within the portal.

They changed to awaiting confirmation and then went back to under review.

I heard last year they sent out acceptances on Christmas Eve. I think anything is possible. Still waiting too, hoping for some news today!
