DU is hosting virtual open house for two weeks (Jan 22 - Feb 1). There are department specific sessions, sessions on LLCs, housing/dining and many more. https://admission.du.edu/portal/virtual-open-house
Registration invite went out to admitted students today.
This is in addition to the in-person admitted student days on March 10th and April 13th.
My husband and I received the Virtual Open House email, but our daughter has not yet been admitted (RD). Curious if they invite everyone that applied, not necessarily admitted?
Sorry - I phrased that incorrectly. The virtual sessions are open to all and I think they can be accessed on their website for anyone to register. So they probably sent the email to all students who have expressed any interest in DU.
The Journey to DU registration is restricted to admitted students.
CU has a lot of rich black kids too - but most of them are named Sanders. Honestly, CU and DU are pretty white, but try to have diversity in culture and activities. Both schools have a lot of excitement through sports in the last year, with football and basketball at CU and hockey and lacrosse at DU. It’s just fun to be on campus for a game (and I won tickets for next Friday’s DU hockey game and I can’t wait).
Congrats on all the DU acceptances. It is a great school with lots of things to do on and around campus.
Does anyone have any input or comments on being part of DU Honors and if it is worth it. Know that some benefits like the new dorm and earlier registration. Are the honors classes any more rigorous than regular classes? Their website says no, just more focused discussions etc.
I don’t know about DU because my son is starting this fall but I would say- be a part of DU Honors- you can always drop it if you find it is not worth it- but I have never heard of anyone thinking it is not worth it.
