Does anyone know what the heck this is? I received this in the mail today. I’m really confused about this, but it looks like an application with no essay or application fee. All you have to do is to fill out a form with your personal info (literally one sheet front and back), your transcript, and test scores. If you submit it before August 1, you get a notification by November 1. I have never shown interest towards this school before, although I’ve gotten a lot of mail from them. Is this something schools commonly do? Because I have never heard of this application, I can’t find any info online, and I don’t even know if it’s binding or not.

That sounds like what my daughter did, only she did it online. There is no link to the online version; her admissions officer sent her the link when he found out she was a National Merit Finalist. I was skeptical at first too, and we sent at least one email to make sure it was for real. It was, and we had an acceptance letter very soon.

I’m guessing you have very good scores or something? Have you looked into the school? Very interesting, especially their campus in England.

@WasatchWriter Yes, I have an SAT score of 2370. To be honest, I’ve never been too interested in the school. I would just go ahead and apply anyway, except it still costs money to send in SAT scores. Was your daughter interested in the school beforehand?

We contacted Evansville first, because tuition would have been free for her, and because they have an interesting creative writing program. Money is a serious issue for us, so it was either awesome financial aid at HYP (which she ended up getting, phew!) or someplace that offered excellent money for National Merit. Evansville would not have been her first choice if we could have afforded the 25K-30K family contribution for a more selective SLAC. Compared to the big state universities that offer good National Merit money, it seemed like a good alternative.

@WasatchWriter Ok I see. Congrats to you and your daughter!

If either of you need any more information about the school from a student, I can help. Not much discussion on UE on here, unfortunately.

@kujch8808 Yes please! Can you create a new discussion about what you like about UE, how much aid you received (and your stats), and UE’s rigor? I’ve been getting mail from them, but I’ve never heard of them so I’d like to know if UE’s worth a look.

We visited Evansville. Nice campus. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with their DPT program. Junior D is considering various paths to study and Physical Therapy is one of them.
