<p>@Lisa695 I guess I really mean reapply. I had my AA by Summer of this year, so I was ready to go on to a 4-year university this Fall. I got accepted everywhere for Fall of 2014, but UF rejected me. I then decided to defer a semester and reapply to UF. If I hand’t gotten in for this coming Spring I would have then gone to USF, but in my case it paid off in the end. I hope that made sense. </p>

<p>I received my A.A. this past Spring. I’m still taking classes at MDC and hope to raise my gpa before transferring out next Spring. I applied to UF on 10/14/2014 and today my application was referred to my college for a final decision. I’m actually surprised it was already transferred considering that my high school transcripts and other transcripts from another college I attended took nearly 2 weeks to get there. I know it could still be a while before I actually get an answer, but I am excited nonetheless. I heard that competition to the College of Journalism is relatively low for the Spring semester, does anyone know if this is true?</p>
<p>@lisa695 Are you out of state or in-state? And was this for Spring 2015 or Fall 2015? I’m considering Computer Science now and won’t have all my pre-reqs done before I apply.</p>

It depends on the number of people who apply that semester and whether they’ve already finished the pre-reqs. But I’d suggest you apply after you’ve completed the requirements for a guaranteed consideration. </p>
<p>@Lisa695 well the deadline to apply is late March for Fall admissions, which is before Spring semester ends. Are they expecting kids to finish their pre-reqs in December? And then what, just sit around and do nothing in the spring? </p>
<p>@BlackMetal Lol. My point exactly. Im just taking diff eq, discrete math and finishing my general eds next semester. Not sure what else to do. According to the college, you get priority as long as you have 6 of the 7 requirements completed. Otherwise, you will still be considered but you may be denied (like I was) if the spots are already filled up by those who have 6 or more pre-reqs. </p>

I will be applying to UF CLAS for pre-professional Biology as a transfer student. I’m currently studying at Santa Fe College and I plan on taking the last of my pre-prof courses this Spring’15 and Summer’15. I’m meeting with a UF CLAS Biology adviser on Dec.3rd (This is one of the benefits of going to Santa Fe) to see if I should be applying for 2015 Fall or 2016 Spring. Being as I still have a few more pre-req courses to take, I plan on my GPA getting at least a little bit higher (God willing ^:)^ ). I’m planning on becoming a Veterinarian :(|) and at first I was tempted to transfer as an Animal Science major because it may not be as competitive as Biology, but later decided there are more options down the road when you are a Biology major. Anyways, I’m very interested in hearing what the UF CLAS Biology adviser has to tell me and if I get any info that could possibly help you guys I’d be glad to share it with you.

<p>Accepted to Computer Science in the College of Liberal Arts for Spring 2015 semester!! My GPA was 3.26 and pre-professional GPA was 3.56. So excited to be a part of the Gator Nation!</p>

<p>Did anyone attend Preview yesterday? </p>
<p>So this semester I struggled a bit to maintain my grades because I was taking 3 math classes at the same time (all required for my major by UF), and ended up getting a C in one of the required classes. My gpa requirement was also supposed to be 3.5, and I had a 3.78 when I was admitted, but now I think my gpa is going to be about 3.498 after this semester. So I’m kind of freaking out and worrying that they might rescind my admissions. Does anyone know what might happen? Or if anyone knows someone who was rescinded from transfer admissions? Please respond, I’m kinda panicking!</p>
