I have been wanting to go to UF for a long time now, but as time is running out, I’m scared I won’t make it. I have a 1680 on my SATs (I know they’re low but I will be retaking them soon) and a 3.8 GPA. (I believe that is weighted) I am a Girl Scout and an active member of many groups that, as far as I am aware, are specialized to my school because it is an overseas military school. I am hoping to increase my chance of acceptance by being a female interested in Industrial Engineering and that I may be an in-state resident.
I’m aware all of my scores are below average, but I hope they’re good enough.
I have also CLEP’d precalculus, algebra I/II, and German I/II. I have taken AP World History and am currently taking AP European History, AP Psych, and AP Calculus AB.
If anyone can let me know what they think my chances are to get in and how I can improve them, please let me know!!

Hey- so you are right, you should take your SATs again and aim for a higher score. Buy a prep book, I know they can be really helpful. Also, consider taking the ACT some people do better on this standardized test, it really just depends but its worth a shot. What UF really seems to like are leadership positions, so definitely try to mention meaningful leadership positions you’ve had throughout high school! Also, make your essay AWESOME, have your high school English teacher review it for grammar mistakes.
