Ok. Hopefully I get mine by the end of the week.

Yes hopefully soon, since you are out in Washington state, maybe it’s taking longer. Florida residents got ours last week.

I got mine. It contained a big page with the scholarship amount and a few letters. Also a really big gator sticker.

Does anyone know if UF gives out any swag for Admitted Students Tours?

My Texas D24 got hers on Monday this week.

Florida resident but haven’t gotten package yet.

I wonder if it got lost? My daughter’s arrived a week ago Tuesday

I have a bit of a stupid question about housing because I don’t know much about it; I don’t know if I’m going to UF yet and I was at an information meeting today and they said I should apply for housing now. I paid the $25 dollar deposit and then it prompted me to start filling out a housing agreement. Is just paying the deposit and then doing nothing else what to do to secure the spot in line if you aren’t yet committed?

It’s unclear if signing the housing agreement and not going results in a cancellation fee for freshman, but pay the 25 asap because that will matter if you do decide to go for timing of room selection.

I did pay the $25 but do I need to do anything else at this time while I’m not committed or do I already have my spot in line in case I do?

I think you are fine for now. But move through the remaining steps quickly right after you decide to go, if you do.

Appreciate it thanks

UF just extended enrollment deadline to May 15th - due to Fafsa.

I thought the averages would be even higher, but getting more competitive for sure. I wonder what the median scores were for the sat and act. I bet they were even higher.

I wonder if they are sending them in an alphabetical order? We got her Merit Aid offer a few days ago as a separate mailer, but haven’t seen the admissions packet yet…

I got my finanical aid letter (just explaining the process, no merit :frowning: ) two days before my big package. I think it’s because it takes longer for the bigger stuff to go through the mail.

Honestly, I think it is a Florida mail thing. The mail is really really slow. I’d send things to them and their two cousins to Florida, Wyoming, Colorado and California and the others would get their mail days before the one in Florida. Sometimes the packages would come from Illinois (Popcorn Factory!) and the Florida one would still get there a week later. Two day priority mail? Never 2 days, at best 3 and often 4 or 5.

Just for funsies, does anyone think that Barron Trump will attend UF? He obviously can go where ever he wants (and most likely UPenn or Georgetown if he follows his half siblings), but given the political climate and his family living in Florida, I wonder if UF is in consideration at all? I’m thinking not - mainly because it is a public school and I see the Trumps only going private (and most likely to an Ivy). What’s even crazier is that if he goes to UPenn, he will meet Biden’s granddaughter, who is also attending. So it would be funny if the two started dating and that’s what unified the country! Sorry - not sure why I’m having these random thoughts this morning!

I think he is a high school senior, so we will probably know soon!
