University of Florida Class of 2028 Official Thread

I posted screenshots of a presentation from a UF December board meeting back in this chain a day or two ago. According to those, 67k applications by priority deadline this year.

on the UF page??

It’s a board called College Smart Start, which is run by a Florida admissions counselor (Jodi Furman). Lots of good info on her board. She usually provides any stats or info as soon as available.

some of those applications might not be completed ones. But at least over 60k completed applications were received so over 60k decisions coming out.

Whatever it was, they compared it to 60k last year by the priority deadline.

What exactly would make an application incomplete since most info is submitted alongside the Common App? Not submitting the SRAR?

Or SAT/ACT score

I’d guess not submitting the SRAR or not sending in test scores

What is Fall class size. Ive seen all kinds of different numbers

I heard that a lot of apps to UF are not completed because people apply thinking test optional is an option. So that could explain the descrepency.

30,690 students last year so divided by 4 is about 8,000 and they admit about double that and pace several more. So acceptance rate should work about to be 16,000 or so/60,000 or so. That works out to be 26.6% acceptance rate, but I think it should be lower so my numbers or the CDS are a bit off.

I think the 60k is off because they said 73k at the meeting so that 60 number would mean 13,000 people did not finish their apps.

Or they didn’t apply until after November 1st

Thank you!

It’s a waste of time and $ to apply after 11/1. like 3 people get in.

Take those numbers with a grain of salt. It was just a quick calculation on my part from the CDS. You can find more complete data by looking at that though. https://data-apps.ir.aa.ufl.edu/public/cds/CDS_2022-2023_UFMAIN_Post.pdf

Depends on the AP class I think they do give credit for some 3’s

correct, I am not referring to anything honors, just standard application using the common app essay and required UF essay

is it at all possible that decisions are released prior to friday at 6?

i know some schools release them early, i received my decisions to unc, nc state (both acceptances) and umich (deferred) about a week early
