My husband went to CMU… wonderful school! Pitt is such a GREAT city. So many Co-Op and internship opportunities there. He loved it. but it’s $$$ Good luck!
Yep. I don’t have any high reaches. I believe that UF is a low reach or a high target for me.

why withdraw? Vandy is supposed to be wonderful and has great endowment for scholarships.
I would rather not go to tennesse that’s all. Nothing against the school. Plus they only have econ, not biz.

Is the reputation of UF for admissions like a more selective UGA with more holistic/unpredictable admissions? Or is UF much harder to get in OOS? We don’t have a ton apply from my daughters school up north so I’ve never had a good sense.
UF is a bit more challenging than UGA from what my counselor said. She said that if you get a scolarship from them with acceptance, you should have an ok shot at UF.

accepted to uga oos but no money… would my shot still be ok?

The reputation I’ve heard, which may be way off but seems to fit with the chart, is that UF likes students who have active ECs and maybe are well-rounded/active.

Wowww that is amazing. I have only applied to 2 universities. Unf and Uf. I attended both schools. I’m starting wonder if I got it wrong. Lol

What school are you hoping to attend?
It really does! Even the schools where my kid had a really good shot of getting in, I was nervous (especially whenever I would see someone with super high stats getting rejected).

i was lucky enough to get umich EA but i also got into university of toronto so its going to be a tough decision. i also love UF so i don’t know how ill pick between them if i get in tonight (the warm weather is definitely a motivator). but i am waiting to see all my offers and then i’ll make a decision
