I just got an email about what to expect on decision day! 8 more days!
My son received it too, we are OOS.
Guessing by your tag you are also in Colorado? If so, nice to see another Coloradan in here!
We are! Are you alumni? (Or a parent is?)
I am not! I am actually going to be a first-gen college student, but I grew up in a family of gator fans! When you applied, did you or your son receive an email from the Rocky Mountain Gator Club too?
Oh that is awesome! Yes, we did receive that email. I (mom) am alumni. We actually went to watch a game with the RMGC this season in Denver and was super fun.
So, a week before UF decision day, we get an email from admissions about âsupporting your student,â helping deal with whatever the outcome, etc. Does that mean my son isnât getting in? FSU sent us a similar email before he got deferred EA but didnât today when he got accepted. Just wondering if UF sends to every applicantâs parents or just the ones who arenât getting accepted next week.
No, it was sent to all. It means absolutely nothing.

Thatâs so awesome! I donât know anyone else who applied to UF, so Iâve been wondering if itâs good sign for admissions or just an auto email that was sent to everyone.
Did you get the supporting your student email from UF last week? I donât think I got that, but it could be in my junk folder.
Never received an email âSupporting your studentâ. Only received âUF: What to expect on decision dayâ about a half hour ago.
Are you a student or parent. Itâs my understanding that supporting your student only went to parents and what to expect on decison day went to both.
I also think thatâs the case, I had the supporting students email sent to my parents.
I did not include my parentâs contact info on application so they, of course, did not get it. So I canât check. But I highly doubt it means anything. No college is thinking about decisions when they send how to support your student emails. And it goes both ways, accepted, or otherwise.
Yep, I read the email and itâs very ambiguous, seems similar to the one I read about on the FSU thread.
So to be clear- there are two different emails? My son received the âwhat to expect,â but I didnât receive one about supporting students. Iâm not sure if my husband did either.
Itâs possible your son didnât put you or your spouse down as contacts? I donât believe my mother has received any emails during the college process.
Also received the email! I know itâs unrealistic but I always wish they would just release decisions as theyâre made lol. Itâs almost more anxiety inducing when you know the specific time and date!
Yep, two different emails. My mom got one this morning about âsupporting your studentâ, who I put down as a contact! Students (myself included) got the information about decisions release as a separate email, if that makes sense!
