You can major in anything that doesn’t require an audition (like something in the fine arts).

DS got it. Saw the updated status around 6:30 right before dinner. I was surprised in a good way because we are from out of state and he applied for CS major.
When will scholarship notification, if any, come out?

Son accepted into UF Honors. Super proud of him! 4.66 W GPA (UF calculation), 1510 SAT, Research and other ECs.

Just FYI her stats, in case anyone is wondering - OOS 4.0UW most rigorous course load school offers, top 1% of her class 1500 SAT, great essays and lots of ECs

Yup. Your child’s stats are amazing! Crazy process. So much of it is just unfair.
I don’t want to be negative, but your letter is most likely to be disregarded. Like the rejection letter states, there are only so many spaces available in the incoming class. It sucks, but I’m sure you have other options.

I’m only scared because two of my friends who got rejected also didn’t receive any emails. But one that got accepted did. So I’m not sure if that’s suppose to imply anything here… still tryna keep my hopes up ig
I got accepted and recieved no emails. It’s best to just pull the band-aid off and find out.

D24 got in OOS, 36 ACT (not super score), straight As (no gpa at school), good ECs - D24 got in to honors + university research scholars program + 6k scholarship. Any details on the latter (don’t think D applied for that directly)

I think she means legislation not letters to UF. It’s a very big topic in our state these last few years, especially among UF alumni families. UF has lost sight of what it means to be a state school, not today, but over the course of the last 5 years or so. If you saw all the highly qualified in state kids devastated tonight, in our own state, it might make sense. Or maybe not.
