The max is 45 Credits, at least for APs.

Thank you. I totally missed the 45 credit part! But that’s still pretty generous when each class is 3-4.

Are we supposed to be doing something with housing this week? I have not committed but UF is in my top 3 schools

It says there is a housing agreement to sign on Wednesday. Don’t know what that entails.

That’s so nice to hear!

Does anyone know if “Florida Days” is the same thing as “Admitted Students Day”? We have yet to visit the campus, but plan on doing so in March. We schedule a “regular” campus tour - but we would prefer going to an Admitted Students Day program if possible.

I believe Melissa said that the first Florida Day should be mid-March, but I might be wrong about that. They will probably post the dates this week.

Thanks - I will be looking for that info!

Thank you! Was this sent in an email?

Total of 45 credits for all exams combined

No, it is a banner in the housing portal:

45 credits is 3 semesters. It’s generous, but you’ll probably still have to take some intro classes in some things. For example, if you are a French major and get 3 or 6 credits of French, you are still going to need 40 or so credits in French to get a degree in that. It’s also helpful for placement into the next level math or language or science class. You may not need to take another history class or a bio class, but it is unlikely you’ll get away with only needing 75 credits total (120 less 45) to get a degree. If only the math was that easy! You have to consider sequencing, course availability, balancing your course load in a semester.

In Florida you are also going to need 9 credits at some time in a summer. You may not want to take a class that might be hard to condense into 6 weeks --Organic chem anyone? Summer might be a better time to take a fun class.

It’s exciting to plan out your life after this acceptance, but remember to be flexible.

I also saw this when I logged on to the preview registration link:

Thanks for this advice. I’m doing business with a history minor, so my main goal this summer is to get microecon, marcroecon, writing, and US history out of the way. I’m already well versed in each of these area, so it should work out on the CLEP test after I do some review on Modernstates. Might possibly do a science as well if I don’t pass AP Physics exam (a very likely possibility at this point lol).

Florida Days look to be March 22, April 5, April 8, April 12, and April 15 per the UF Honors Webpage.

Are those dates only for Honors (or are they for both Honors and non-Honors)?

lol

Not so sure you are right about this. Our OOS child got into both FSU and UF and she is going to FSU. Be careful with your FSU predictions. I realize when you posted what you did, you were all in with UF, but your position has flaws.

Yep. Complaining about it won’t change anything. Everyone just needs to start loving a school that loved them. Move on from all others.
