Daughter accepted after being deferred from early acceptance, oos!

My daughter got accepted after being deferred from EA, OOS.
She doesn’t see anything in the letter about being accepted into the business (she is still at school). Am I remembering it correctly that UF doesn’t admit directly to business?

Correct. They can declare their major at preview. They don’t admit by major (as far as I understand). Can change from what they put on their applicaiton.

Admitted. How does the merit come? Would it be in the letter?

It will be emailed if it is offered by the end of the month.

Correct! The only exception is majors that require auditions, like vocal performance or something.

oos waitlisted. ah well. looking like fsu with oos tuition waiver. congrats to all who got in.

@Melissa96 Will we find out about the grandparent waiver by the end of the month as well?

We have a Nole and a Gator currently, , great school he graduates in May

@Melissa96 how many students are generally waitlisted and what is the likelihood of being offered acceptance? Thank you!!!

The is the first year they have waitlisted people so there will be little to no data

No, those go out as we have them to give. I think we went into September because the state gave us a few more super late.

It’s going to depends on how many students who were offered admission actually commit.

@Melissa So if we completed our grandparent waiver in August, but my son was deferred EA and accepted RD, should we expect to get the grandparent waiver or were we bypassed and now have to potentially wait for any to open up?

UF RD Results Survey 2025:

This form is for tracking decision results, so it’s all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!

You can see all other people’s individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).

@Melissa96 Just making sure you saw this and trying make sure I understand it correctly. So if we completed our grandparent waiver in August, but my son was deferred EA and accepted RD, should we expect to get the grandparent waiver or were we bypassed and now have to potentially wait for any to open up or for Florida to be given more?
