University of Florida Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

Thanks for clarifying. Does that mean a student may receive both admission honors scholarship and merit?

it is possible, yes

For international students, is possible to get scholarship??..

Students in the U.S. on an F1, F2, J1 or J2 exchange visitor visa, or a G-series visa are not eligible to receive federal aid administered by UF Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFA). International students, however, may be eligible for private or college-awarded scholarships administered by agencies other than our office.

I was informed UF charges tuition by credit hours and not by semester, is that correct? The tution listed on the school is based on 30 credits. Someone taking 18 credits pays more than someone taking 12 credits.

I’m asking because when I to college long time ago, you pay the same tution amount between 12-18 credits.

Where did you see the honors scholarship was it on the admission letter?

in the middle of the letter, next to the honors program.

Thanks

Judging by some of stats of the kids who were deferred/denied, my guess is they split that pile down the middle and just automatically denied half.

My daughter got deferred in state with a 3.8 UW and 5.2 WGPA with 18 APs and very strong ECs. Maybe go to the community college that feeds into U of F first or find a school that values you. You are awesome.

Yes. That is correct. You pay by the credit at UF. (My son is a junior there.)

Any hope for merit today? People were chatting about it on the FB parent page. Thx!

I know they were close to being done so it could be today.

Thx!

Daughter is admitted into Honors out of state and also was recently approved for the Grandparent Waiver. If she received the gp waiver, is she ineligible for any other type of merit scholarship? I recently read on a FB group page that all Honors gets at least a $500/semester award ($4,000 total over 4 years). Just checking. Super grateful for the gp waiver either way!

Just wanted to clarify something about the housing contract. My DD submitted and paid the housing enrollment fee in November (she received an email that it had been received) but is holding off completing the enrollment fee and signing the housing contract until she hears in March from another school about a specialized program. Is her date for housing choice cemented from the November date, and she has until May 1st to complete without losing her spot in room draw, or do we need to do it right now?

Edited to add that she was also admitted to the Honors College, so how does that affect housing draw?

Thank you. Will we receive an update email with merit scholarship or should we check somewhere on the portal?

Daughter just received an email with invitation to apply to the Stamps and Lombardi Scholarships through a UF Scholarship Universe Portal. But nothing showed up anywhere on the Gator Portal
