Should be in the next few weeks.
Same stats. And denial as well. Lots of ec, varsity sports, job and legacy
Thank you
Rejected, in-state, 4.4W, 32 ACT, 10 APs, high level recognition arts ECs and sports
International student
1470 SAT
3.93/4 GPA
Applied to Honors
Got rejected
Good luck to everyone who got in, and for fellow candidates who didn’t receive good news today—hopefully everyone will end up in a good place for the next 4 years of their life.
DD A GATOR! Accepted, 3.99 UW/ 5.10 W. 1440 SAT. In State, Medical academy, 300 hrs volunteer at local hospital, Cheer, track, HOSA, etc… Beyond excited; this is the one she really wanted.
We thought so too as did her school. It is infuriating to see OOS students get in with less stats when we spent the last 2 decades paying tax in Florida and our kid spent the last 4 doing everything possible to assure bright futures.
Is regular decision an option?
No, you can’t reapply in the same admissions cycle
Haven’t thought about it yet. We have other options for schools of UF caliber but would be forced to pay north of $300k for the privilege.
What major?
Okay, so we are surprised. We were under the impression that Early Decision would be an accepted or denied. My daughter was pushed to regular decision. I’ll be honest, mid March is late to be making a decision on where she will go, hence applying early decision. Some schools will have already done housing placement by then.
International Studies
Son got in but not to honors. Was his #1 choice so he will be there. 1590 SAT, 36 ACT, 4.0 UW, 4.6 weighted, research with UF professors, national Latin awards, top of his class at a competitive college prep school.
@Melissa96 Any idea when admitted student events will be posted? or if there is anywhere we can see dates. Thank you.
Accepted! OOS, 3.94/4.0, 33 ACT, Varsity sport with experience at the US National
Level, lots of community service, 8 AP’s
He can look into the honors program lateral admissions, this would allow him to reapply to the honors program if he’s still interested after his first year at UF!
This is an option. But the general consensus on campus is that honors is incredibly overrated. It adds more complications than it’s worth
Same.
Saddened for him and surprised, especially since it was his first choice BUT keeping hope alive for March
I believe they’ll be available in a week.
