May I ask how much is the scholarship?
we are in chemical engineering but it is not blonged to school of engineering department, it is under LA of science. Has anyone received any scholarship from this department? thanks
I got in for business gies, intl student here. can someone tell me how does gies compare to uci Paul merage in terms of placements, connections and internships. also is uiuc any good for investment banking? I need to choose between uiuc and uci and its getting really confusing for me!
UIUC Gies has strong career outcomes, on average higher salaries than from UCI:

If I leave out IB, will it be easier for me to break into a finance job?
You will have to find a company that will sponsor your work visa. With most business type degrees you will only be able to stay in the US for one year after graduation.
This pdf attached in this link mentions econometrics and quantitative economics as a stem major. Does this mean if I do econometrics I can get a 24 month extension?
Also, I want to get into finance roles, would it be recommended to switch from business to economics just to fit the opt extension? As far as ik, economics majors are equally likely to get a finance job as a business major

My daughter is at Wisco (currently in Organic Chemiatry) - both schools have weed out process via these tough classes

Can anyone share their experience with an admissions appeal? At UIUC, an applicant can file an appeal (the deadline was 4/1 to submit the appeal) of the decision (denial, waitlist, etc). One option is to ask to be reconsidered for a different major. Have any decisions come out for applicants who filed an appeal?
Interested in this too as I submitted an appeal after ivy day for an undecided major and I am waiting to hear back. I was originally deferred → waitlisted and I have a sibling currently a sophomore at UIUC as well as a friend who did get accepted so I really tried to emphasize why UIUC is my top choice especially as a undecided major.

Not from LAS, a small amount from UIUC for invite to honors college.
Has anyone not received their aid packages? I haven’t received it and everyone I know has.
