Only Waitlist option is out.
Says more about deferred (EA)/waitlist (RD)… in RD waitlist is essentially = denied.
I heard 50% deferred will be admitted. Others denied.(including waitlist)
My form yesterday showed the waitlist option the first time I opened it, then a few min later said not eligible. Today it’s back. Is that probably a waitlist?? I guess we’ll find out soon anyways. Applied RD Engineering OOS
Seems UIUC, unlike Mich/Wisc/Others, rejects a large number during EA.
Probably why they can complete RD a month earlier.
Also, they don’t take counselor report, nor recommendations, nor mid-year grades, nor loci.
I really like their approach. Streamlined and all on the applicant, with no external bias.
yes, deferral rate is low. That’s why deferral is not bad though. 50% chance to get in.
