There’s very little merit. I don’t think accepting now or later makes a difference. Accept when you’re ready to celebrate going to an amazing university!!! Congrats to your son, he’s going to love it there!

It’s email notifications. We applied through EA.
D24 also got an email notification today of Grainger merit scholarships (Illinois Engineering Enhanced Scholarship and Physics Visionary Scholarship). There’s nothing in her portal that she can access yet. She applied RD.

did every business major receive a Golder Academies mail? any idea what it is?
My son got the email as well. If it is like past years, it is one class a week and they review programs at Gies and have speakers talk about careers.
It used to be mostly given to those students invited to apply to Gies Scholar and James Scholar. This year I believe they have changed the program and Gies Scholar application process starts during their freshman year. Has any Gies admits been invited to be a James Scholar or Gies honors 1st year experience yet?
We have not seen any invitations, wondering if direct admission by itself is just not good enough for Gies honors.
