Deferred Students:
Around 3,800 applicants will be deferred to the regular decision release on March 1. These students received a comprehensive review in the initial round.
Historically, we have a 50% admission rate for deferred students.
Students are deferred so we can see how their strengths fit into this year’s entire first-year applicant pool.

Son accepted: OOS, 4.0, 1540 - didn’t get the first choice of Stats+CS, got a second choice “Engineering Undeclared”. Earlier he got into Stanford, Purdue CS, and U-Mich COE (CS not out yet).
