University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

hopefully the decisions are just being uploaded in a random-ish order then

Unfortunately they are probably doing it by decision since that’s easiest. But I wouldn’t stress about it because we don’t know what it means

yeah i told myself this stuff meant nothing for purdue, and then it totally meant something, so unfortunately probably the same situation for uiuc, but hopefully not!

That’s what I’ve been trying to figure out. Some lose references on Reddit

Yeah, I found myself on the ā€œgoodā€ side with Purdue predictions. Looks like it will even out for us this time with withdraw button gone sooner… lol

Same for my son and UMD too!

IDK - I would be shocked if my son got in and he still has the Withdraw button.

To clarify we all have the button, it’s just whether or not you can access the form that button sends you to

ohhhhh - let me check

well there you go - he cannot access that form either. I think its a tell.

We will still have the button… I’m not saying it is a positive or negative, but we don’t have high hopes for getting in. Just taking our shot!

rats

Same here… still can’t register for admitted students

I also can’t register for admitted students but it did say something about all links for refrigeration opening February 3rd or something like that so maybe this tell has been removed. But I don’t know what it was like in previous years so I don’t know what I’m talking about haha

It’s more likely for withdraw option gone folks to assume rejection. That’s be the only group that doesn’t ā€œneedā€ to withdraw application.
But that’s pure logic, not necessarily how it works!

i am spitballing here but it’s possible everyone who can withdraw is deferred, and people who can’t are either accepted or rejected

This is what I’ve heard for other schools. Deferrals are the only apps that would have any reason to need a withdraw button after tomorrow

Daughter was accepted to UT Austin but still has cancel application tab. I dont know what it does when clicked on it(I have been wanting to clcik on it to see but too scared). My point is we cant say itf for deferral. She was accepeted to Purdue too but Purdue doesn’t have it

They could also be uploading in batches. Rejections first/last, deferrals second, acceptances first/last. With so many applicants I doubt they’re doing it all at once

But in theory I can withdraw my apps from all schools where I’m admitted, no?
