University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

On their deferred FAQ they said about 1,500-2,000 deferred applicants are accepted each cycle.

Hard to say. We know quite a few students who were deferred and then accepted last year, but Ithe university is definitely going to try to avoid a repeat of the over enrollment they had this past fall.

Anyone that applied 2 majors for engineering still have withdrawl?

Can someone please summarize the astrology. What does it mean if clicking on the withdrawal application brings you to ā€œyou are not eligible to submit this formā€. I know it is a guessing game. Just couldn’t keep up with all the posts.

I believe the speculation is if you see the message that you can’t submit the form, it may mean acceptance or rejection and if you have it, it may mean deferral. Others can correct me. But, that’s what is my understanding as of now. Or it just simply could mean results are getting uploaded?

The theory is that if you can’t access the form, then it’s an acceptance or rejection. If you can access it, then deferral

It would seem from the scrolling I did it the following:

  • still having the form after clicking the withdrawal button = deferral or possibly deferral and/or admit

  • no form after pressing the button is rejection or possibly rejection or admit.

  • this is rolling out in waves and eventually everyone loses it and it means nothing….

Im seriously hoping it’s the first or third :sob: I still have the form

Me too

holding on to hope but feel like those predictions are looking real… just like purdue’s thin bar patterns

It’s still a matter of hope for everyone.

In astrology, you never know reality until afterwards.

For OOS applicants to Business: Do you consider UIUC-Gies and UMD-Smith to be comparable admits?(just trying to reduce your stress)

I know for engineering/CS UIUC is a harder admit.

Haven’t applied to UMD, so likely biased, but I’d consider Gies to be at least half a step ahead in terms of selectivity

Atleast now I know why there is no portal astrology on that thread!

Takes a village :joy:

Our S25 does still show the WITHDRAW… guessing this isn’t a good sign? As I said before, UIUC is a reach for everyone.

Would LOVE him to get in, especially with their phenomenal disability support, but they’ll blossom wherever they’re planted.

Stats? In state senior holding on to hope (still have form).

In state Gies applicant. 4.24wgpa, 1480 SAT, good essay. Thoughts?

DS’s says ā€œform not availableā€ for the withdrawal form.

Stats: 3.96 UW, 1590, aero-astro application. Got into U Mass (in state for us) but was deferred from Cornell. I thought his essays were good and targeted for UIUC.

Not as obvious an admit as ā€œMelā€ I agree with everyone else, but I do think he has a chance at UIUC, though the SCOIR (like Naviance) at his school shows very, very few admits to UIUC.

I still have the form. Applied environmental engineering. 1500 SAT, 4.0 GPA, 5 APs (4s and 5s in the 3 I’ve tested in), in state, Illinois state scholar, National merit semifinalist (likely finalist), Tri-M secretary, chamber choir, ILMEA districts (2 years), national rural and small town award, student ambassador, plays/musicals. Not the best application but not at all bad either
