Are degrees completed with the UoL External System recognized by top US university? How well are they regarded?

It was my understanding that the UoL external system issues ordinary UoL degrees and does not specify whether a person took their degree through the external system or not. So presumably top US universities will regard it as the same as any other University of London degree.

Are you sure about this? How did you find this out? Could you please confirm? It’s a bit urgent.

ITA with Dionysus58. It’s the same as any other UoL degree. But done online/by correspondance. You take the same exams as resident students and get the same qualification at the end.

dunno about you guys, but in singapore they’re ranked at the bottom of the totem pole for degrees when it comes to tertiary education

polytechnics (diplomas) < long distance learning (eg SIM partnership with schools like RMIT and UOL) < local universities < foreign universities.

i’m basing the last two comparisons on top schools in the US btw.
