It appears, through anecdotal research evidence, that the decision quite possibly will be available either Tuesday or Thursday, at 4:45, most likely tomorrow at 4:45 though, IMO.

UNC Chapel Hill dropped the unexpected bomb on Friday. This 5 Friday January is causing this to happen. I would not be shocked at all to hear today.

In looking at past years threads, it does look as though the decisions have all been made at 4:45 pm though. So, I guess I’m checking back then!

At this point we can’t be sure about anything other than it’ll be sometime this week

My son sits on the middle line with his stats and applied for engineering, so in some ways, I’m not rushing decisions coming out. Mostly trying to stay positive and light-hearted. He already got into other schools (including our state school’s engineering program), but since both myself and my husband went to UMD, we were looking forward to it being a possibility. We will see! @carrottopcurls2 I think if your son doesn’t get direct admit to engineering, it is still very possible to get into the engineering program by just taking some prereqs. On the other hand, I think I heard it’s harder to transfer into the business school, but there are multiple paths to engineering. You may know this already! Good luck to your son!

Took my daughter to an eye exam tonight. The doctor said the decisions already made, will be in the mail soon. She talked to a UMD rep in the mall today.

Not sure but I know that in 2017, my daughter’s decision was posted on Friday, January 27th.
