Do not despair. They want what is best for you…and you will find your way…Life does not always give us what we want, but we do the best with what comes our way…and often look back and realize that we are far better off for it. My son did not get into all of the programs to which he applied. I still love him and want him to be happy…and am proud of his achievements and am proud of him for putting himself out there.
I told him, before decisions started coming out, that it would be what it would be and wherever he got in, he could make his way…and if he found he was not happy there, he could always try and transfer. Chin up. You got this.

@jhmoney - Scholars is a set of LLCs that a student can choose to participate in, similar to the Honors College. There are classes and seminars that are reserved exclusively for Scholars students.
It is NOT related to merit scholarships, although Scholars students may get scholarships

DD was just accepted to U of Maryland university park, sight unseen. I remember visiting as a prospective student and remember really loving the campus atmosphere. To those alumnus and future students and families, what made you choose U of Maryland? What makes it stand out to you? And do you have any advice for prospective students? She would’ve an out of state student. We are comparing to Penn State/Pitt and BU/Northeastern. Thanks!
Here is a link listing all the courses being offered at UMD for the current semester. In a few months, it will be updated to show the Fall 2020 classes
@ImStillDre hold your head up. You will get in into the right school. This is just part of the process. My son with 1570 SAT was denied from 2 schools and deferred at one. This process is very unfair to many many great kids. Hold on in there. I wish you best of luck!
