Accepted OOS , CS , 4.0UW 4.9 W 18k award … not sure how I didn’t get honors college even though I got the highest award possible .
Are you checking the portal or did your student get an email?
Accepted, OOS, Interdisciplinary Studies, $18,000 Chancellor’s Award!
No email, my kid just checked the portal
Accepted. OOS, Computer Science, $18,000/year Chancellor Award, accepted to Honors College. 3.9 UW, 1460 (submitted).
Waitlisted or can Fall start at Charles River or Global Launch in Dublin, and then spring start at Amherst. ![]()
OOS Accepted, Chancellors Award of $14k and no honors college. Honestly, my DS has a 4.2 Weighted GPA and a 1450 SAT, a little disappointed that he got the lower scholarship amount and no honors college.
OOS Isenberg - 4.3 weighted with 1500 SAT. Chancellor’s $18K but no Honors College which was a little surprising
OOS Admitted with $16K/year Chancellor’s scholarship
Weird thing is that the admit is neither for his first choice (Finance) nor alt major (Management). He got admitted to Managerial Economics which is under school of social and behavioral sciences. Has this happened to anyone?
GPA 3.89 UW/4.29 W
SAT: 1450
ECs: Average ECs (clubs etc), strong record of volunteering for non-profits, some part time work experience/entrepreneurship
Rigor: 6 APs / 3 DEs /1 Honors classes
Same. I have to learn more about that.
Did anyone in-state receive merit awards?
Son accepted to CS, honors college, $2000 Dean’s Award.
OOS admitted Isenberg. Commonwealth Honors College. Chancellor’s Award $18,000 per year.
My impression from last year’s thread was that merit and honors appeared to be determined independently (honors not necessarily correlated with highest merit), and honors seemed tougher to get.
OOS son accepted! Isenberg for management w/$16k chancellor award. No HC. 34 ACT / 4.1W. He’s so excited!
Accepted! 3.6 UW/3.9W, 1410 SAT, OOS. Public Health. 12K Chancellor’s Award.
Waitlisted OOS Nursing boo! Seems hard to get off waitlist too.
Son was waitlisted - OOS for Engineering. Surprised as we thought this was a target. Perhaps going TO worked against him.
Same - what was your major?
3.3UW/32 ACT. BS Electrical Engineering, OOS. Accepted.
Built a datacenter in my basement, probably why I got in?
