@multicultural01 Are you saying that U Miami applicants pull their applications if they get into UF or FSU?
@SlimJim005 thatās usually the case
Wow. Then that actually might be better for us. Iām OOS and didnāt apply to UF or FSU.
Ur right I totally didnāt think about that. The instagram still says late Jan early feb so there is hope
@Freakingout23 yes, i visited twice. i had a bad math grade junior year, so iām thinking they probably wanted to see my semester grades before making a decision on me
This is not necessarily a UM question but a FAFSA question. Has anyone received an email with a college making a correction to your FAFSA? If so, any idea of why? Thanks.
@BigHerms Believe it or not, colleges can make changes to your FAFSA for any one of a number of reasons. Sometimes they will raise your EFC and sometimes they will lower it.
If a college raised your EFC I would call immediately to ask why.
@BigHerms I got the same email today.
@Nic00 might wnat to check your efc, ours went up 1616
@BigHerms If your EFC doubled I would get on the phone with FA offices right away. Thats very unfortunate.
@STEM2017 I was shocked and exaggerated. Went up 1616 and still donāt know why
@BigHerms where do you look? How do you know if it has been changed?
@BigHerms yours went up $1,616? or $16,160
@Nic00 you have to login to your fafsa and check your efc.
1616
But I believe that pushed my D over the edge for any type of help besides merit
@BigHerms What number do you think would be a cutoff for any aid?
@BigHerms We got the same notification of āyour schoolā making a change to our sonās FAFSA today, but it doesnāt say which school made a change. My husband hasnāt checked it yet, so I donāt know what it is or which school did it.
The bad news is that it seems U Miami is making changes to some peopleās FAFSA. The good news is that this could be a sign of acceptance, otherwise why would they tamper with your financial info?
No change of FAFSA hereā¦
Iām hoping they come out soon
