@Danperr21: Not a big deal, just work on it tomorrow.
If the ToDo list was just updated today, it probably means they looked at your application and want more info for their decision. Your high school transcript should still be available from your school district’s office. You probably have less than 2 years of college credits so they want high school information.
From the website: "The priority deadline for the fall is by March 1st; applications will continue to be accepted until the transfer class is full. We will give priority to those applicants who submit a completed application and all supporting documents by March 1st.
Transfer students receive notification on a rolling basis."
Don’t worry about the March 1 deadline, they are still accepting applications. Again, my son applied in April and wasn’t accepted until June.
Actually, they only request your high school transcripts if you have or will have less than 30 credits by the time you finish spring semester. 2 years of college credits is roughly 60 credits.
The Um admissions office didn’t help me whatsoever. They’re requesting a college report from NYU when I attended as a pre college student in 2016. I cannot supply that information because NYU themselves told me that I was a non degree seeking student who can not obtain that document.
UM told me that “it doesn’t matter, we need it”
Hey everyone! Just an update, after kicking and screaming for the entire morning, UM realized they made a mistake and waived that document off of my file. Initially they were telling me that my application was not deemed as incomplete which would greatly affect my admission chances. After going back and forth calling New York and Miami since 9 AM, UM realized that they indeed made a mistake and apologized; waiving the document.
My chest hurt from the stress!
danielaperr21: Thanks for the update! I’m not surprised, there is a lot of incompetence in that office. It’s good to call several times with the same question and see which answer comes up the most. Best of luck, let us know when you get accepted
@JAngel17 No. You must be on the borderline—they are considering your application but want to see your current grades. At least they are giving you a chance—study hard!
@AnalMom Why do you think I’m borderline? My grades are fine, all A’s and a C from last semester. This semester, I still have all A’s. My gpa is currently based on one semester, so I wouldn’t even say it’s an “accurate” representation of me as a student.
@JAngel17 : I’m just guessing from the question you asked, not knowing your grades or situation. Sounds like you are in your second semester of college and have a high GPA so you should be fine. I have no idea why they would ask for a second semester transcript unless your high school grades weren’t good and they want more data for a decision. They obviously want more data for a decision. This is preferable to a decline. My son applied with a 3.2 GPA, mid-April (April 1st was priority deadline last year) and wasn’t accepted until June and still got into the dorms. Best wishes.
@transfer1999 A mid-term report is the report that you print off from the common app and have each of your professors from this semester confirm your current grades and you send the report in. Everyone has to submit one.
I got an email last night from the “College Board” in regard to financial aid information. When I logged into my account it said the University of Miami financial aid office is requesting more information.
Did anyone else get this email? Does this possibly mean I got in or I am being considered?
I just thought it was interesting to add considering my financial aid application has been completed for a while and other schools I have been accepted into are not requiring anymore information.
To be clear: “College Board’s Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC)” is where the email is coming from which I believe is the institutional financial aid.
