University of Miami - Should I apply ED?

Hi everyone,
recently i’ve been starting to research umiami and I think it’s the perfect balance for me…
that being said, I have been wondering if I should apply ED

  1. Does applying ED really strengthen your chances? bc my grades weren't all that top notch (I made around 10 Bs and 3 Cs with a total gpa of 3.62) So i would think that colleges would like to see a senior year mid year report to strengthen my chances but idk

If you’re certain that you want to go there, than applying ED is a fine choice. You can still apply elsewhere, but if you get into miami you have to go there, but if thats really where you want to go, thats not a problem. VISIT and make sure thats where you want to go, and visit the other schools your seeing. I applied ED to Cornell U (got rejected thankfully - i didn’t really want to go but wouldnt have had a choice), but at an info session, the speaker said it did increase the chances of acceptance from around 8% to around 25%. I’m unsure if it increases the chances at miami. I can’t stress how important it is that you really truly want to go to miami and are sure that you’d rather go there than elsewhere.
