Depends on what you want and how picky. I have two kids in houses near Yost ice arena (so close to central campus) and the last two years have been a madhouse. Need to start very early and be aggressive to secure the house you want.
Be careful to understand the leases because landlords are adapting to tenant friendly city ordinances by restructuring leases in unique ways to benefit them at renewal time.
