Write directly to the professors also. Trust me, they hind seats for the international kids etc unless something drastically has changed. @CCName1, any clue about this?
I can ask my daughter. She didn’t have any big problems with getting the classes she needed, but she wasn’t in a major like engineering or nursing with very specific requirements.
He is on some waitlists at number 50 and has written for overrides.
Like I said don’t take a late advising appointment for UMich!! There aren’t any sections being released at a later date. The honors sections are also completely closed.
Kind of a weird thing. We’d long since enrolled in the payment plan and made the June and July payments, expecting the total amounts owed to change when the 24-25 pricing was released.
That did happen, but since then we’ve received 3 additional adjustments to the costs, each one $30 at a time. And each time you need to log into the portal, enter the newly adjusted total, and have it then recalculate the remaining installment payment amounts.
I was told at one point that you could just wait and do a “make good” payment at the end. Regardless, kind of weird the way these additional amounts are being tacked on along the way. No indication btw what these are for i.e. they’re not tied to specific items or fees. Just part of the total.
I was going to follow up on the lack of intro sections.
He got a fall schedule he liked in the end but will be in a bunch of prerequisite classes in the spring like freshman writing and Data Science 101.
Math 295 honors opened new sections a week before class started. He went to its first class and promptly changed into EECS 203 discrete math. Discrete math is about 40% freshmen so he’s not that unusual. He’s happy with his schedule.
Anyhow get the early advising slots future UMich students.
