Someone with more knowledge than me will have to comment. Maybe all LSA are just listed as first year LSA? Or perhaps she was moved to that.

ETA when she clicks on “ update your major” within “update your information” it lists her as undeclared. (No idea if any of this matters but sharing in case it helps someone)

We don’t have “update major”. We have update school/term. And update personal information.

What are my chances: Umich In-State. - LSA and Ross Preferred Admissions

Demographics:

  • White Male (Ukrainian)

  • Middle Class

  • Dual enrollment HS school at a CC

  • Rank: na/ 300. School doesn’t rank

  • GPA HS: 4.00/4 UW. College: 3.85/4 With 45 transferable credits to LSA going in as a freshman to college. School did not offer APs.

Awards:

  1. College high honors - 11, 12th grade

Essays:

  • Super strong.

ECS:

  • Ross Summer Business Academy (SBA)

  • MREACH (hs program at Ross)

  • Internship (MassMutual)

  • Owner: beeswax operation (online business)

  • Owner: Lawn & Snow Service (for the elderly in my community)

  • Ballroom dancing

  • NIRSA Region league 3. High schooler playing for the community college soccer team. (Starter player)

  • Liverpool International Academy Soccer player (7yrs.)

Hopefully will help. My sister graduated from Umich in 2020.

To clarify, yes colors seem to have changed which was indicative of pending results last year. My question was why my daughter’s major now shows as undeclared- perhaps all LSA kids are also undeclared.:man_shrugging:

So why do people say they were accepted as LSA, Econ or LSA psych , LSA Bio etc?

For all practical purposes, being accepted “LSA (insert major here)” is essentially meaningless, except CS.

And majors are typically declared in the 2nd semester sophomore year. Most (75% +/-) LSA students will change their majors at least once.
