Love conspiracy theories. Lol. Typically what has been seen previously is activity in the portal which is usually server maintenance and… Uploading results about the Monday or so of the week of the release. So if it’s happening to “lots” of people… You will know about it since it will be out here and reddit etc. This is more of a global action. If it’s just a few dudes saying something is happening or a local response. Ignore it

So if I’m following this, last year the portal went to this new darker blue a few days before announcements? (Ours is dark blue too)
Yes and right after that color change on Monday, this redittor willow_robin wrote “YUP!!! so soon!!! usually within 5 days of the screen so i’m taking it as a really good sign for friday”. And it WAS released that Friday

Yep, my son’s portal has changed from blue to much darker (more of a charcoal color).

Is it definitely blue, not gray? I’m wondering if the color is aligned with the decision…
I too saw the Reddit post and checked. My son’s portal was black yesterday, today it is that same darker blue. Maybe it was the same yesterday, but I thought it was more black. Definitely a change from what it was originally.

Oh that reminds me. Ross BBA decision dates were announced. Ross BBA admission decisions will arrive by email after 5 p.m. EST/EDT on the following Fridays:

Michigan doesn’t announce the EA release date in advance. But “post-Covid,” its been the last Friday of January.
In this year’s case, it’s Friday 1/26/2024.
In addition her major isn’t listed in “applicant information” . I think it used to be. FWIW she’s a longshot here

The switch app allows you to change between majors (his backup major). My son’s portal defaults to “Engineering: First Year” in that top right part. I can’t remember if that was there before or not.
