University of Michigan Ann Arbor Early Action Fall 2024

My son also included all of his AP & Dual Enrollment courses in his application. We are OOS (Virginia) and he does not have the AP/IB button in his portal.

Did he report AP scores?

Did you have the scores sent? I think you could self report but maybe they only add that if they got the official verification.

I am not 100% sure to be honest.

My kid only self-report, no official scores, and he still has the button

My kid applied to engineering and self reported his AP scores and has the AP Button.

My OOS LSA son still has the AP button. Self reported scores in his app.

So much for that theory (self reported vs official report.)

My son did not report is APs through the Michigan portal. I just confirmed.

I read it on their website “Welcome! Admission to the Residential College is available to any prospective student who has first been accepted to the University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA).”
Does that mean, people with “Residential College” are already accepted. BTW we don’t have it :frowning:

Where was this?

No, I think you just have to check that box on your common app. I think everyone checked it would see the “Residential College” show up.

Got it. That seems fairly generic as to the availability and process and not any foretelling of admissions decisions. So I wouldn’t panic about not having it

We don’t have it because my son might have not applied for it under LSA?

It reads like that to me, for what that’s worth.

It sounds like the AP button might just be there for kids who reported them with their application. My DS self-reported AP scores on the Common App and he has the button.
