Did you self report any AP score or just list then as classes taken. I reported my AP scores on common app and those just ported over into my portal when I submitted my application back in Oct. I didn’t self report any score in portal. Only on my commons app. And right now I can see the AP/IB tab under my drop-down.

That is correct LSA is undeclared and no major will be listed

My son opted not to have SAT and ACT scores considered. I think that could be why.

Sounds like your child reported scores and they’d be under the Admissions tab.

umich is my top school, I visited, I’m in state, and my grandfather went there although they say legacy isn’t considered

  • 4.09 weighted GPA
  • 3.9 UW GPA
  • 7 APs
  • school doesn’t do class rank
  • 1560 SAT, 770 math 790 reading
  • National Merit Semifinalist
  • Pretty average awards and extracurriculars for the most part
  • Applied EA to LSA as a neuroscience major

  • White Male (Ukrainian)
  • Middle Class
  • Dual enrollment HS school at a CC
  • Rank: na/ 300. School doesn’t rank
  • GPA HS: 4.00/4 UW. College: 3.85/4 With 45 transferable credits to LSA going in as a freshman to college. School did not offer APs.

Awards:
College high honors - 11, 12th grade

Essays:

  • Super strong.

ECS:

  • Ross Summer Business Academy (SBA)
  • MREACH (hs program at Ross)
  • Internship (MassMutual)
  • Owner: beeswax operation (online business)
  • Owner: Lawn & Snow Service (for the elderly in my community)
  • Ballroom dancing
  • NIRSA Region league 3. High schooler playing for the community college soccer team. (Starter player)
  • Liverpool International Academy Soccer player (7yrs.)
    Hopefully will help. My sister graduated from Umich in 2020.

Any guesses on when EA will come out? I’m thinking right now it will be on 1/26 but we will see

Why would it shutdown? Isnt the decision shown under the Application tab in the portal?

When people notice that a school’s portal is down for a period of time, the understanding is that a school is loading decisions during that time.

I guess that makes sense, but I figured it works more like loading a website where you have a version of the portal in test and then you move it to production. You would have to be on the portal at the time to notice any hiccup.

I truly don’t know. My only experience is with Colorado and the only “tell” was a new element became visible on their portal a few hours prior to sending out decisions.

That makes sense, but my kids also are applying to USC, which is scheduled to release the decision later today. So far there is no “shut-down” yet. Maybe today’s systems are just much better than those from a few years ago.

Reports of shut downs happening are current. It isn’t a dated phenomenon. It doesn’t happen with every school, and sometimes the portal is offline for such a short timeframe that only truly obsessed portal watchers even notice, so perhaps USC is in one of those categories.

I could definitely be wrong, but I looked back on last year‘s Michigan thread, and saw somebody post that they got this message when they logged in starting the Monday before results were released (again, this is just based on what I saw posted here, not on my own experience). So I assume since we haven’t seen this yet, today is not the day…

So I got some inside information about the EA release.

My friend’s dad’s dog walker talked to his girlfriends mother who said she heard that the release from her neighbor’s mother told her their daughters high school said that the principals doctor told him… There is no release today.

So if it comes out today then “All these people are wrong”… :rofl:
