A bit of a surprise as I see much higher stats from others… It certainly looks like they are favoring women and in state applicants in this round. We’ll see what happens with Ross?

That thinking is sad to think if UM does that ( how can they assume where a kid applied- especially when the kid has shown interest) . My kid didn’t even apply to an ivy and Michigan was his top choice . However he got in REA to Notre Dame his second choice. With UM pushing so many great OOS kids off they definitely could lose them simply because they take too long to make their decision - especially since they don’t even give a definitive date for that decision.
Holistic review means stats are only 2-3 of 6 factors. Essays and extracurriculars make a big difference!

Based on the past few years, does it seem like there is a higher amount of accepted for this round? It seems like there have been more deferred the past couple of years.

Not really and it’s hard to judge but there are definitely a lot of really high stat acceptances. I just told a friend of mine whose daughter is there as a junior that I don’t think she or my son that graduated in 2021 would of gotten in and they both had great stats…LOL.
